Privacy Policy

Last updated September 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Quintel collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when people visit Quintel, request a demo, contact support, or use a customer account.

1. Information we collect

Quintel collects account and contact information, including a user's name, work email, organization, role, account settings, and related administrative information.

Quintel collects customer workspace content and actions; communications submitted through demo requests and support; and device, browser, log, security, and usage data generated when people access the service.

Quintel also processes public company information and public-record data obtained from external sources.

2. How we use information

Quintel uses information to provide, authenticate, personalize, secure, support, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve the service; communicate about the service; keep operational and contractual records; prevent abuse; and comply with law.

3. Service providers and disclosures

Vendors may process information under Quintel's instructions to provide hosting, storage, communications, security, analytics, and support services.

Quintel may disclose information at a customer's direction, when legally required, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer. Quintel does not sell personal information.

4. Customer workspaces

Workspace content is scoped to the customer's account and its authorized users, together with Quintel and its service providers as needed to operate, secure, and support the service. One customer's private workspace is not exposed to another customer.

5. Public and company data

Public company information and public records come from external sources and may be corrected or changed at the source. This information is distinct from customer-private workspace content.

6. Retention and security

Quintel retains information by category for as long as needed to provide the service and meet contractual, security, dispute-resolution, and legal needs.

Quintel uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No security measure or system is absolute.

7. Choices and requests

Users may update certain profile information or ask their account administrator to make account-level changes. Recipients may opt out of optional marketing communications, while transactional and security messages will continue where necessary.

Depending on the applicable jurisdiction, people may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of personal information by contacting [email protected].

8. Cookies and analytics

Essential storage supports sessions and security. Privacy-conscious analytics is used only where configured. Authenticated-workspace analytics is not used unless separately configured. Where configured, the customer workspace sends product-action events to PostHog with real user and account identity, public-company context, and customer-authored text such as notes, search queries, and support messages, retained for 90 days. It does not send staff or share-link activity (apart from the lender decisions described below), document contents, or contact email and phone numbers.

Quintel also keeps a first-party record of workspace interactions, retained indefinitely rather than for a fixed window. It covers screens visited, controls used, searches run, links and contact details copied, and the actions performed on a company — together with the screen and context each action came from — plus coarse, structured categories for actions the product refused or that failed. It includes customer-authored text: the body of notes written on a prospect, and search terms typed into the workspace. It does not record contact email addresses or phone numbers, the addresses of links followed, referrers, document contents, session identifiers, dwell time, or error messages. Records for an account are deleted when that account is deleted.

The same first-party record covers the no-login lender list page: which lists were opened, which companies were expanded, which links were followed, and whether a decision panel was opened, abandoned, or confirmed. That page has no sign-in, so those entries are identified only by the link used, the network address, and the browser making the request. Where PostHog is configured, those entries — and the decisions and milestones recorded for a lender list, including ones our staff record on a lender's behalf — are also sent to PostHog under an identifier for the lender's account, together with that account's name, and retained for 90 days. They are sent without a personal name, email address, network address, browser details, decision notes, or funded amounts.

9. Children

Quintel is a business service and is not directed to children.

10. Changes and contact

Quintel will post revisions to this Privacy Policy with a new last-updated date and will provide notice of material changes where required. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to [email protected].
